Join the Jefferson County Democratic Executive Committee for their monthly meeting. Come and learn about the latest goings on in the local Democratic Party and share your concerns. Located in the meeting room in the lower level of the Charles Town Library in the County Commission Meeting Room.

The Kanawha County Democratic Executive Meeting hosts REGULAR meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each Month.  Some meetings are cancelled and rescheduled as Special Meetings, but generally, meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

The Fayette County Democratic Executive Committee (FCDEC) will meet on December 13, 2024 at 6 PM at the Fayette Democratic Party Headquarters, 114 Main St W, Oak Hill, WV. The FCDEC will hold nominations and elections for Vice Chair, New Haven representative (male) and Valley representative (male). Vice Chair: The Chair must be a registered Democrat in WV who resides in Fayette County. Duties are as described in the WVDP Bylaws. One does not need to be a member of the county executive committee to run for the Vice Chair position. New Haven representative (male): Must be a registered Democrat who resides in the New Haven district. Valley representative (male): Must be a registered Democrat who resides in the Valley district. District level representatives will be voting members of the FCDEC and represent their district. Term: These elections are for an unexpired term that will end on July 1, 2026, or earlier if their successors are elected or seated before then. Officers do not need to be a member of the county executive committee. Procedure for nominations: Nominations will be made at the meeting by county executive committee members. The person making the nomination will state the name of the person they nominate. Members can self-nominate for the vice chair office. Nominations do not need to be seconded. When nominations are closed, the person making the nomination will have 1 minute(s) to speak in favor of their nomination. Procedure for elections for all vacancies and offices: All candidates will have 2 minutes to speak. Voting will be held by roll call vote for any contested election. A majority of those present and voting must be achieved to fill all positions. The person responsible for this meeting is Pam Garrison, Chair. This meeting is open to the public.
