New Poll Shows West Virginians Are Fed Up With Republican Administration

(Charleston, WV)– Released today, the MetroNews Dominion Post West Virginia Poll shows that West Virginians are fed up with the Republican Administration in West Virginia. Included in the poll was a hypothetical race between Senator Joe Manchin and Governor Jim Justice. The poll showed that if Senator Joe Manchin were to jump in the race for Governor against Jim Justice he’d win. The poll results show Manchin beating Justice 49% to 39% with 12% undecided.

“Most importantly what this poll shows is what we hear every single day, a lack of leadership from Jim Justice,” said Belinda Biafore, WVDP Chairwoman. “The people of West Virginia deserve full-time leadership that they can depend on and that’s what they want.”

From the Governor’s mansion to the Legislature, West Virginians have made it clear that they are tired of the corrupt, dysfunctional leadership from the Republican administration.

“Looking at the poll numbers, you will see that West Virginians are tired of the corrupt, self-serving ways the Republican Party has used and abused their power while leaving hardworking West Virginians behind and footing the bill.”

The West Virginia Poll was conducted between August 14-22 with a sample of 501 registered voters.

You can find the poll results here: http://wvmetronews.com/2019/08/30/west-virginia-poll-if-manchin-gets-in-right-now-he-would-beat-justice/.

“Again, this poll shows us one thing and that’s lack of leadership. West Virginians deserve a full-time governor and a Legislature that will work for them, not themselves.”
