West Virginia Democratic Executive Committee Elects Leadership
(Charleston, WV) – The West Virginia Democratic Executive Committee has re-elected Belinda Biafore as Chair of the West Virginia Democratic Party. Biafore previously served as Vice-Chair of the WV Democratic Party, and held leadership positions in the West Virginia Women’s Commission and the West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women, prior to being elected Chairwoman in 2016.

“I am humbled and honored to continue to serve as Chair of the West Virginia Democratic Party. Now more than ever we need to unify everyone in our party to ensure victory in November and beyond,” said West Virginia Democratic Party Chairwoman. “We have elected two vice-chairs who have great experience and will bring a fresh perspective to the Democratic Party in West Virginia. I am excited to get to work with a great group of officers that will work across the state to unite Democrats.”
Rod Snyder and Delegate Andrew Byrd were elected as West Virginia Democratic Party Vice-Chair and West Virginia Democratic Party 2nd Vice-Chair, respectively.Rod Snyder is an active member of the West Virginia Democratic Party and previously served as President of both West Virginia Young Democrats and Young Democrats of America.

“I am humbled and grateful to be elected Vice-Chair of the West Virginia Democratic Party. We are entering the most consequential general election in modern history, and I’m eager to do my part to bring about much-needed change in our state and across the country. My goal is to cultivate a diverse and inclusive Democratic Party that is capable of winning elections up and down the ballot in all corners of West Virginia.”

Delegate Andrew Byrd also expressed his excitement to begin his term in Democratic leadership.

“I am honored to have been selected as 2nd Vice-Chair of the West Virginia Democratic Party at such an important time for our party, our state, and our country,” said Delegate Andrew Byrd. “The time is now that we need to all come together to secure a bright future for West Virginia Democrats. I believe the best days are ahead for West Virginia and the West Virginia Democratic Party, and I look forward to building a pathway for future generations.”
Chairwoman Belinda Biafore is confident a fresh perspective from West Virginia Democratic Party officers will help grow the party and bring all Democrats together.
