WVDP Chairwoman Belinda Biafore released the following statement on President Biden’s announcement of historic infrastructure agreement:

President Biden joined Democratic and Republican Senators, including West Virginia’s U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, to reach a historic infrastructure agreement.
“President Biden took office promising to work together and get things done. Today, President Biden, along with West Virginia’s own U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, delivered on that promise when President Biden announced the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework that will make life better for millions of Americans, create a generation of good-paying union jobs and economic growth, and position the United States to win the 21st century.

“Democracy requires compromise and this bipartisan infrastructure agreement is the largest investment in our infrastructure in a century. This bipartisan framework will help West Virginia families and workers with road improvements, broadband, clean drinking water, jobs, and much more.”
